When I found this belt in Florida this past March, I had to have it. I thought it was a little “out there” but I bought it anyway. Funny how many people love hot pink. So, for dog collar Thursday this week, I am going pink, like Grease Lightning Pink. I can see Roz sporting this collar 🙂
Awhile back, I was browsing at Fabricland(yes, I do that) when I came across some ribbon that appeared to be a perfect match to the belt I had purchased. I bought the tiny bolt of ribbon and was on my way….
Later as I was putting some collars together, I put the belt and ribbon together…NO WAY!!! Seriously, NO WAY. They were a perfect match.
If I was creating collars for humans, I would say that this collar belongs on a “librarian by day, tigress by night”. I have seen this collar on brindle, black, white, golden, grey, spotted….you name it, any dog rocks it!!
I created this collar for a medium size dog, however, somehow I made it a little small. So, I am left with a collar that would look great on any dog but will only fit a medium size dog with a smaller than normal neck. This past weekend, I must have had at least 10 people pick the collar up but it was too small for their fur baby. Oh well, I am left with a really cool collar that I will find the perfect home for sometime soon.
This leather collar was created by cutting the belt to size, attaching a leash ring(D Ring), creating a small ribbon bow and connecting a vintage earring to pull it all together. The result is one sexy collar.
